Caritasverband Freiburg-Stadt / Ciel Bleu Kultur
Sommerfest Freiburg 2025 provided a concrete local context for Ciel Bleu Kultur’s work. It brought together questions of cultural encounter, participation and the observation of a multicultural event within an urban setting.
The experience subsequently became the basis for a Kultur Insights publication examining the Sommerfest not only as an event, but as a cultural dispositif and part of a local cultural ecosystem.

Kultur Insights
Ongoing editorial project · Research & publishing
Kultur Insights is Ciel Bleu Kultur’s editorial and analytical library.
It brings together readings, analyses and other formats addressing contemporary cultural dynamics, cultural ecosystems, mediation, cultural circulation and Europe–Africa cultural relations.
The project connects editorial practice, research and the long-term development of a multilingual body of knowledge.
Status: ongoing editorial project.
Cooperation & Networks
Kreative Deutschland
Professional network · Germany
Ciel Bleu Kultur’s involvement with Kreative Deutschland forms part of its professional engagement within Germany’s cultural and creative sectors.
It provides a context for exchange around working conditions, structures and developments affecting cultural and creative practice.
This relationship is presented as professional engagement rather than as an institutional project partnership.
Status: professional network engagement.
Ciel Bleu Kultur is also listed in the professional directory of Kulturmanagement Network. This listing contributes to professional visibility and is not presented as a partnership.
Principles of Cooperation
Ciel Bleu Kultur does not approach cooperation as an accumulation of logos or formal affiliations. Cooperation is developed where there is a clear intellectual, cultural or institutional basis for working together.
Particular attention is given to:
- shared questions and clearly defined objectives;
- cultural and intellectual relevance;
- transparent roles and responsibilities;
- long-term learning and knowledge-building;
- a clear distinction between partnership, membership, network participation and professional visibility.
Cooperation is therefore understood as a form of substantive work rather than as a display of institutional proximity.
Fields of Work & Development
Ciel Bleu Kultur’s current activities are rooted in Freiburg im Breisgau and the German context while extending into broader European and international perspectives.
A particular focus lies on cultural dynamics between Europe and Africa, as well as on cultural mediation, knowledge circulation, cultural ecosystems and contemporary cultural scenes.
Additional fields and forms of cooperation are developed progressively when they can support substantive editorial, research or cultural work.
